Temple Council #12 - Kronos

Jeff: Welcome everyone,
We are down to the final 5 and after tonight, we will have our final 4.
Let's bring in our jury: Shawna, Daniel, Ted, Erin and voted off last night: Rob.

First things first: Helen, are you keeping Immunity tonight?
Helen I am keeping it. Thanks, Jeff!
Penny: Signing in Jeff!

Jeff: Christy, if it's you tonight, is there anyone in the game that deserves to be here less than you?
Christy no, we've all got here on our own merits.
Jeff: Brian, do you feel like you've done enough in this game to impress a jury should you make the finals?
Brian I've been involved in almost all of the major moves, but I haven't been the key person responsible for them. So I'm not entirely sure what my jury perception is like at the moment, but if I make it there, I'll just do my best to make my case.
Christy Penny if you vote Brian off tonight, you can buy point with the jury. The less power Helen has, the more you have! If you're going to be all 'loyal' to them, you will lose this jury-vote. Here's your chance to finally step out of the shadows.

Jeff: Joanna... are you going home tonight? We haven't heard you say that yet.
Joanna jeff, i'm going home tonight

Jeff: You know, I've seen a lot of these games in my days as a host... and it's quite common that someone waits until the final Tribal Council until revealing all of their strategies throughout the game... I believe Courtney from Stranded in Peru (season 3) said it best when she referred to it as a "scooby doo reveal." Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
Penny, do you think anyone using the "scooby doo reveal" at the final tribal council will win this game?
Joanna "scooby doo reveal" that doesnt even make sense wtf
Penny: I think it depends on what people have to offer in their Final Tribal Council speech.
I think Christy has been the most balanced player this season. She's been a terrific social player, I have built a social connection with her and enjoyed talking to her basically the entire merge, even if we haven't always voted together, its been like a mutual respect friendship sort of thing I feel. She's also been incredibly strategic, she's orchestrated a few moves and played an Idol which lead to a mega blindside. To me she doesn't need to do a scooby doo reveal, because everybody knows how well she's played.
Having said that, I definitely feel I have to justify my position in getting so far, and so if you call that a scooby doo reveal, then yes, thats what ill be doing.
Jeff: Well, anyone who's watched scooby doo knows that at the end of every episode, they unmask the monster and then the person under the mask explains why they did it the entire time... It's the same situation at most final tribal councils, some people who have hidden behind the scenes suddenly reveal all that they have done throughout the game... but the question is, does that really work? Is that a valid strategy? In the past players have won based solely on revealing their strategy throughout the game, but do you think that's something that will work in this game on this jury. Or will the jury look at waht they have seen, witnessed themselves?
Helen If only Phillip pulled this off icon_laughing

Joanna you guys my friend is on a date and just gave me the signal to call her and act drunk so she can leave because it's that bad i'm really nervous
Penny:icon_lol icon_lol icon_lol
Erin: icon_glare
Helen icon_laughing Did I miss the (obligatory) post where you said you're going home?
Joanna icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub
it wasnt even going to be you helen won immunity!
Helen Joanna told me this RIGHT after TC, and I almost shat myself.

Jeff: Helen, if you didn't win immunity, would you be going home tonight?
Helen I'd like to hope not. This entire game, pre-merge and post-merge, has been filled with moves made by Helios to try to position ourselves in a good spot at the end. We've finally gotten to that spot, so it's my every intention to stay loyal to the remaining three people from our tribe since we've been working together since the very first day. I hope that Brian and Penny share that same dedication and loyalty, but since Joanna and Christy lost Rob last night and sit in the minority now, it's absolutely in their best interests to get one of the three of us to turn, and they'll do whatever convincing necessary (truth or lies) to try to accomplish that (and rightfully so, they should, we all want to keep playing). So, given that, it's always better to be wearing the necklace, since, especially after the number of blindsides we've seen to this point, anything can happen, and there's no reason to feel safe.
Brenda: Brian & Penny, is this an easy statement to make when you've already been voted most deserving to win once?
Penny: This depends on how much stock you hold in that Survey challenge.
I voted strategically in that challenge, I didnt personally believe most of the answers. Anybody who makes the final deserves to win, because they obviously have a quality that got them that far.
Brian Well, yeah, at this point, if Helen doesn't win immunity, her absolute best hope is that her original alliance sticks with her to the end like we have all game. Based on the previous challenges, there may not even be an opportunity to vote her out. But if we were all heartless players going for the win, we'd take her out at the first opportunity. So using the loyal Helios angle is her best move.
Joanna lol brian?
Taj: Brian, Joanna clearly doesn't think that way. Response?
Brian I'll elaborate further on Joanna's statement if I make it to final tribal council.
Taj: How do you think the jury would perceive that move?
Brian It depends on each juror and their philosophy. Do they want me to see vote out the person who I'm pretty much paired with in everyone's eyes to emerge as "my own player" here? Or would they respect me honoring my loyalty to my alliance. Again, that's a really difficult thing to say and it depends on each player.
Penny: It depends on how the Jury views Helen and her position in the game. The consensus seems to be that her and Brian are calling the shots. Whether or not that is true though, is anybody's guess.
Helen Right, and to Penny's credit, part of the "scooby doo reveal" that you'd expect her to have lined up (given such a situation) would likely explain HER moves. Because Brian and I aren't the only people on this tribe or in this alliance. She's absolutely had a part in creating her own plans and executing them, and much like ours, some have been successes, and others failures. While my moves have been more publicly exposed by this point, Penny's haven't been as publicized, or at least the credit for them hasn't, so she would get the opportunity to explain them. And (again, given the opportunity) it's up to the jury to assess each player and their plans to determine who they want to support winning based on the evidence presented to them.

Jeff: Helen, do you think that people are playing up to the jury here at tribal council? If not, do you think they're missing an opportunity?
Helen I don't think so, people aren't doing it. Our TCs have been renown for their quietness and lack of seriousness (except for when scrambling for plans last night), so not much is directed at the jury. Ever since my game plan has become streamlined a few rounds ago, I haven't continued to be deliberately evasive or short at TC, so as to avoid double talking or exposing some plan that needed to be kept second. Instead, I've tried to be open, and treat this forum much like I treat my confessional, with candid thoughts. I could see it being perceived as playing up to the jury, but it's not intended to (anyone that I've messaged more than ten times can tell you that this level of verboseness is typical of me).
Is it an opportunity? Sure it is. But at this point, I think the games of each of the remaining players is about as evident as it's going to be until the finalists have a longer period of time to explain everything at FTC. It wouldn't hurt to pre-empt some of those sharings now, by addressing things to the jury (indirectly), but with everything so open at this final stage (or if not open, foreseeable, or guessable at least, what each player's options are for what to do), it isn't that great of a help either.

Christy Penny vote for Brian, vote for independency. Noone wants to see a Helios-blob at FTC when noone even will ackowledge you. And if you want Helen out, your best bet is to vote him out.

Jeff: Alright, at this time all votes are final.
I'll go tally the votes.

Brian Good luck, Christy!
Christy good luck everyone, I loved playing with all of you <3
Helen You, too, Christy! It's been amazing. You're truly outstanding, and best of luck.
Penny: Good luck everybody! <3

Jeff: I'll read the votes:

Jeff: First vote: -- Brian -- "fishfishfish"
Jeff: Second vote: -- Christy -- "I actually really did like you, so I'll keep your fish safe. I just hope you don't fry mine here."
(One vote Brian, one vote Christy)

Jeff: Third vote: -- Brian -- "Only because I can't vote my gurl out. We been besties since day one and I can't believe it's finally coming to an end. :("
Jeff: Fourth vote: -- Christy -- "You are an amazing competitor, and I hate to do this. But for the strength and safety of Helios to the end, it's what has to be done. Brilliant game; be proud. It's been amazing getting to know you. Congratulations, best of luck, and I hope no hard feelings if this is the way that it plays out."
(Two votes Brian, two votes Christy, one vote left)

Jeff: Final vote: -- Christy -- "This is the hardest vote I've had to do so far. I really felt a connection with you on a personal level. I really dont like doing this."

Jeff: Christy, the tribe has spoken. You will have a hand in deciding which one of these final four will become our winner.

Christy's Final Words

Brenda, that makes me feel good icon_wub although I really don't get it, because I wasn't extra-social, I didn't make any move aside from the idol, but damn, that's not a move icon_laughing

k, final words:

I had a blast playing. Although pre-merge was little boring for my taste (especially early on), the moment Rob mutinied the fun begun, and post-merge was just absolute crazy. I wasn't in control, but I'm better off as an underdog anyway. icon_laughing
I'm kind of mad at Rob, for completely ruining my chances. The one mistake we kept making was trusting Helios too much - and when the time came he trusted them once again. I feel like had Rob made it through the F6, he would've realized that our best chance is against each other, and I would've won. That would've been such a GREAT ending. Props on Helen on winning immunity so many times...ugh. But she will make a deserving winner. Especially over Brian.

I'm really grateful I was a part of this game, and I think I managed to deliver enough. The F7 TC will go down as one of my favorite TCs ever. Not just because of the idol, but I loved how we asked each other. I have to tell you, I only started that so I could fish for some info about the target that night. Good times.

I don't know who is completely new here, and who is not, but I really hope I have the chance to play again with whoever plays Joanna, Rob, Ted, Penny, Helen (but I REALLY think I know who she is icon_razz) and Shawna. I think Shawna fessed up that it was her first game - I see a really bright future for her. But of course I'm most excited for Joanna. I wouldn't necessarily call her best.ally.ever, but she's very close to my heart. I hope that her whole persona wasn't a facade though icon_laughing
