Temple Council #9 - Kronos

Jeff: Welcome everyone.
First thing's first, Brian, you keeping Immunity? 5 minutes to give it away.
Let's bring in our jury: Shawna, and voted out at the last Council: Daniel.
Erin Daniel icon_sad
Daniel: icon_sad
Shawna: icon_lol
Brian I'd like to keep immunity, Jeff.
Jeff: Okay, so where do we even begin? Let's start with Erin... Were you blindsided at the last council? How does that bode for you tonight?
Erin It was no surprise that Daniel and I were close. I was completely blindsided. I just have to hope that I get through tonight's council. It's mind-boggling how some people are just skating through this game when I've had an uphill battle this whole time.
Taj: Christy, do you think there is a strategy to staying quiet at TC? It seems like each time someone is in danger and they don't speak up, they usually leave.
Christy Idk. I stay quiet because I don't have much to say. Don't know about the others.
Joanna sorry cant talk skyping my boy
Jeff: Now, the jury is growing every time we come to Council. Are you concerned that by not speaking your mind you're giving the jury a reason to not vote for you should you make the final tribal council?
Christy no
Jeff: Yea I'll echo what Taj has said, both tribal councils now, the person leaving has left quietly becuase they were under the impression that they were safe.
Brian, do you think that the players who are quiet at Council believe that they are safe?
Brian No, I don't think people being safe at tribal councils is because they think they are safe. There are plenty of quiet people at these tribal councils who are just...naturally quiet. I think that it's more so in their nature not to talk. And you have people who are quite talkative and active who would act the same whether they're vulnerable or not.

Jeff: Helen, it seemed as though Penny and Erin were out of the loop on the last vote. At least that's what they said in the last council. If that's so, how have you gotten along with them since?
Helen Like some trips to TC, it started off rough upon leaving, because there was all this confusion. But after things calmed down and got hashed out, and everyone can get to talking normally again, it managed to return to the normal state of camp Kronos.
Brenda: Helen, do you expect Erin to trust you?
Helen I don't expect anyone to trust me at this point. Erin was upset about the last vote, and justifiably so. Rob et all were upset about the Shawna vote, and justifiably so. Anyone here can tell you that I've made an icky bed for myself to lie in, at this point, and if I get booted tonight or down the line, I would deserve it. No qualms.
Do I want people to NOT trust me? Of course not. But it happens, and we're playing a game. I can live with it; we all can. As a player in the game, it would be my job to fix that mistrust, because the game is fundamentally social. And that's what we all do.
But to answer your question, I'd like her to trust me, I wouldn't expect her to trust me, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
Shawna: Helen wrote: "the game is fundamentally social." icon_yes
Brenda: Rob/Brian, have you two kissed and made up since last night's TC?
Brian No, I still refuse to work with the person who I trust the least here. icon_rolleyes

Jeff: Joanna, is it hard to balance blending in with the crowd and standing out to a jury?
Joanna skyping
Taj: Erin, who do you think is skating through this game?
Erin People who leave their strategy to other people to do. I'm simply just gonna say there's a lot of people on this tribe who have no brains for themselves.
Jeff: Erin, as someone who was on the outs in the last vote, is it respectful for Joanna to say that she has no time for the challenge or the council, she'd rather drink and skype? How does that make you feel?
Erin How do you think that makes me feel? icon_glare That's not rhetorical btw.
Erin Damn I mean it is. Way to kill the drama, Erin icon_censored
Jeff: Well if it were me, I would feel a lack of respect for the game itself. I would also find ignoring questions and giving short answers to questions as disrespectful, but that's just me.
Erin I'm not ignoring your question. That glare says it all. You want me to put it in words? I'M PISSED. THERE'S A VERY REAL POSSIBILITY THAT EVERYONE'S LYING TO ME AND I MIGHT BE GOING HOME.
EVERYONE IS STUCK UP ROB'S ASS AND CAN'T ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME FOR THEMSELVES. If Rob makes F3, I'm voting for him. Because that's apparently what everyone else in the game wants to do.
Brenda: Christy, is it fair to say you're stuck up Rob's ass?
Christy I was going to say 'yes', but then I realized, that that's too short, so I'm going to give a longer answer for a change. I think that Erin oversimplifies this. There are eight individuals in this game, and all of them want to win, and some people just happen to benefit from talking to Rob.

Jeff: Rob, if you go tonight, have you done enough in this game to where you'll be proud of how you have played? Are there people in the game that deserve to be here less than you do?
Rob No one should be proud of going home in 8th. If I leave tonight I will of course be disappointed. I wouldn't say anyone deserves to be here less, because everyone has done their part to get the game to where it is now. The two people who didn't deserve to make F8 went out in 10th and 9th.
Joanna jeff i might be going home
Taj: Joanna, if you "might be going home tonight", then do you not want to go home fighting?
Brenda: Why should these players keep you? What have you done to deserve to stay?
Joanna i'm not a threat and easy to get along with.

Brenda: Brian, Erin & Joanna both express fears they may receive votes tonight - Erin is fighting her case, Joanna says she is easy to get on with - which style is more likely to not get your vote?
Brian Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me what people are doing right now. Unless something crazy goes down in the challenge, I can't see anyone saying something or doing anything at tribal council before it's time to vote that will even have an effect on votes. I believe that everyone knew whose name they were writing down before this started, and they will stick with that name.
Rob Oh shit I almost forgot to vote.

Jeff: Aaaaand... silence.
I can't with this group...
Daniel: icon_yawn
Helen *turns to the jury amidst the silence; smiles and waves while everyone else is skyping*
Daniel: icon_yucky
Helen Ouch.
Christy lol
Christy ask me something
Jeff: Christy, are you confident tonight?
Christy I'm never confident, unless I'm not at TC.

Brenda: Rob, do you miss Penny's company tonight?
Rob Who wouldn't miss that shimmering ball of sunshine?
Carl: Rob, why do you think people are so unwilling to talk?
Rob Uneasiness.
Erin Or maybe the charming Rob commands his zombies to shut up during TC?
Thoughts? Anyone?
Rob Who told you that?
Rob FTR Jeff, this is the first time I have ever even heard it be suggested that I have zombies or that people are up my ass. Take from that what you will.

Jeff: Alright everyone, at this point all votes are final.
If anyone has a Hidden Immunity Idol and would like to play it on themselves or someone else, you now have 10 minutes to do so.
Good luck.

Brenda: Ted, you seem particularly quiet tonight - are you only talkative when you're immune? Hoping to slip UTR?
Ted: Can't talk, skyping my girlfriend.
Daniel: icon_glare
Joanna omg u 2!
Taj: lol

Brenda: #tryingtogetbloodfromarock icon_glare
Shawna: icon_console
Daniel: icon_laughing
Brian We should all pretend to be jurors and answer with emoticons only next tribal council.
Shawna: icon_lol
Brenda: Open floor for anyone who thinks they're going home to spill some dirt before they head off to Ponderosa.
Rob I heard that Brenda is a slut.
Jeff: Tribal Council 1 - no one spoke, blindside. Tribal Council 2 - no one spoke, blindside. Tribal Council 3 - No one spoke... are we in for a blindside, Rob?
Rob This thread had 8 pages, Probst, so I think you have kind of a warped definition of "didn't speak."
Jeff: Maybe...
Daniel: icon_sleeping
Jeff: Erin, your thoughts on the above pattern?
Erin For once, I'm with Rob. The whole no speaking thing is ridiculous. I would say limited. But I've been pretty much bitching this entire TC.
Erin I'd like to apologize for my blow up. It's just this game's really frustrating.

Jeff: No immunity idol has been played, I'll now read the votes. The person voted out will be asked to leave the Temple Council area immediately.

Jeff: First vote: -- Penny --
Jeff: Second Vote: -- Erin -- "Your number is up."
(That's one vote Penny, one vote Erin)

(That's one vote Penny, three votes Erin, four votes remaining)

Jeff: Fifth Vote: -- Ted -- "Not only are you the biggest competitor in the game but you've flip flopped too many times. I don't trust you. Never did."
Jeff: Sixth Vote: -- Ted -- "I'm voting for you because you've been kicking ass in this game. I'm sorry that it came to this. Good luck, and best wishes."
(That's one vote Penny, three votes Erin, two votes Ted, two votes remaining)

Jeff: Seventh Vote: -- Ted -- "I havent trusted your arse since the merge and its been down right embarrassing that I have had to depend on your vote until now. Thank god."
(That's one vote Penny, three votes Erin, three votes Ted, one vote left)

Jeff: Eight & final vote, and third member of our Jury: -- Ted -- "Blindside #3! Watch out, #4."

Jeff: Sorry Ted, the tribe has spoken.

*smuff*

Joanna holy alol i love this game
Rob ....what?
Erin What?!
Daniel: icon_eek
Ted: Love it, great game guys ;)
Helen I'm glad that's your response, truly icon_smile
Fucking incredible game, Ted. Really impressive. Congrats. Definitely before your time. Good job, and best wishes.
Shawna: icon_lol
Rob Sorry to see you go, Ted.
Brian Bye, Ted!
Christy What the fuck?
Bye Ted! icon_cry
Erin Oh wait, wrong reaction.
Sorry Ted, you were fierce. And that's why.

Jeff: Maybe some people will finally speak up next Council... maybe not. Maybe everyone will be blindsided and go quietly from here on out.
One thing is for sure, if there is no talking at Council, someone is definitely hiding something.
I'll see you tomorrow where one more person will join our jury.

Ted's Final Words
I would do it again, but I can only manage to play at this time of the year :P

It's been fun, I don't know if I really care for anybody out there, but I'm glad I got blindsided with the idol. Great end to the Ted Show :)

Final Words: I'm not mad, I'm not bitter and I'm not shocked.

Honestly, I'm happy for the tribe. They made the right move and voted me out. I'm happy that I left with the idol in my pocket, because I'd rather leave in a tremendous blindside being seen as such a huge threat than to have such a predictable ending with me walking my way to the end.

I couldn't possibly be bitter at anyone who orchestrated my boot. It was probably the best move for them, as they saw it at the time, especially if it gets them to the end. 3 of those involved will probably make the end, 1 of those involved won't. Whether or not that 1 person realises they aren't in the top 3 is up to them. Personally, I'm not quite sure what will end up happening.

I couldn't possibly be shocked at what's happened tonight, because I think it was a foregone conclusion that I would be leaving in a blindside. Should I have played the idol? From a game perspective, it would, to some extent, have been a good move, but from my perspective in the game, the only way I could have gone further was to have the idol for my own personal gain in the next round, and that it was too big of a risk to play it and be wrong. I'd rather not play it and be wrong, because it would bring an exciting end to the Ted Show.

Vote Reveal
Brian - Ted "Blindside #3! Watch out, #4."
Christy - Erin 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...? I don't plan on being fooled twice. Good luck, girl.'
Erin - Ted "Not only are you the biggest competitor in the game but you've flip flopped too many times. I don't trust you. Never did."
Helen - Ted "I'm voting for you because you've been kicking ass in this game. I'm sorry that it came to this. Good luck, and best wishes."
Joanna - Erin
Penny - Ted "I havent trusted your arse since the merge and its been down right embarrassing that I have had to depend on your vote until now. Thank god."
Rob - Penny
Ted - Erin "Your number is up."
