With Daniel, ive offered to start a whole new alliance with him. I made it very clear to point out that nobody was 'flipping', since that word seems to be taboo after what we've seen from Cochran in SP. Rather, that him, me, Erin and one other member of Asteria would start our own alliance and be the Final 4.

He obviously doesn't want to completely flip. So ive stated that the Helios tribe dynamics are very loose, and that there are two sides. This mimics the story we spilled to Rob, who no doubt spilled the beans on the Helios tribe dynamics when he arrived back at his original tribe. So I think Daniel will believe that bit.

Also, Daniel told me he felt left out of the Asteria main alliance, given he wasnt privy to their decisions to A) Have Rob mutiny B) Throw the challenge and C) Vote out Ryan. So I think I have taken a great punt in the dark about who to approach. Daniel seems like a really nice dude and somebody I enjoyed talking to in a social sense, so I will enjoy keeping him around for as long as I can.

Finally, I have told Daniel that Rob and Ted plan on burning Asteria and will vote with old Helios and I want to act now so that I am not the 6th wheel in that new alliance and want to send Rob home first. This should appeal to Daniel for a number of reasons. 1) Hes observed that Rob and I have a tense rivalry and so me gunning for him first is believable. 2) The story about Rob siding with us is completely plausible, since Ted was a former member and from his point of view, the unstable Helios tribal dynamics means Rob can make Final 3 in what could be an Asteria friendly Jury.

So all in all, I feel really good about this approach I have taken. Ive just taken it easy, considered my options and then made my move, instead of my usual brash self going all guns blazing two seconds after we have merged and hopefully this will hold me in good stead. I feel really positive about my growth in terms of strategic development, so im hoping this will cultivate in me finally getting a win.

Finally, I will be away on Thursday (which is the American equivalent of Wednesday) this week as ill be working. While I dont expect you to build your schedule around me, is it possible to not have a double event day that day? Or worst case scenario, could I leave a preference list in terms of voting so if my pre-vote wins Immunity I have a backup?

Also Erin is becoming really difficult to manage and I feel like she'll spoil what I have done so far.

I mean she is trying to solidify the alliance I have been trying to set up which im very appreciative of her for doing, but she is saying the wrong things and coming on too strong.

I also owned up to Daniel about having the Immunity Idol, which I dont and told him I would give it to him if he wanted it, since I dont think they are that good.
